Overview: Our client, a leader in the computer software industry for healthcare, seeks a certified Epic Professional Billing Analyst to configure and optimize Epic Professional Billing.
Configure, customize, and maintain the Epic Professional Billing application to meet specific business needs.
Perform system builds, testing, and migrate changes to production.
Analyze and optimize financial workflows and implement leading practices for efficiency.
Act as primary support contact, troubleshooting billing, claims, and reimbursement system errors.
Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
Train and educate end-users on Epic applications and related workflows.
Stay current with Epic technologies, software updates, and industry regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
Develop and document internal procedures for system use.
Hybrid schedule: 5-day onsite training, then in-office Monday, Tuesday, Friday; location starts in Hicksville and will move to Garden City, NY.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in Epic Professional Billing is required.
5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of specific expertise in Epic's Professional Billing module (charge router, work queues, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine, estimates).
Proven experience with system configuration and troubleshooting tools.
Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, medical billing codes, and insurance procedures.
Familiarity with the differences between professional and hospital billing.
Knowledge of medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10).
Must be local to the Hicksville/Garden City, NY area (no relocation assistance).
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
