• Develop and execute on Ascertain’s strategy for AI-driven and AI-managed integrations
• Perform up-front discovery through workflow shadowing, research, and competitive analysis and present findings to the team with conviction and rigor
• Prioritize the integrations with partners and vendors which will drive the most leverage for our team as we scale and expand into new use cases

Senior/Staff Full-Stack Engineer – Brazil

AI Engineer

• Design, build, and ship voice agents that conduct outbound calls to payers - handling IVR navigation, hold queues, multi-turn dialogue with human reps, and structured data capture.
• Integrate telephony, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and LLM components into reliable end-to-end pipelines, and own them in production.
• Build the evaluation and QA infrastructure that lets us measure agent quality, catch regressions, and continuously improve performance against real-world calls.
• Develop and maintain the APIs and integrations that connect agent outputs to the rest of our prior authorization workflow.
• Instrument everything: call outcomes, agent behavior, latency, failure modes - and use that data to make the next version better.
• Partner closely with our operations and clinical teams to identify the highest-leverage workflows to automate next, and translate those into agent designs.
• As the AI surface area at Ascertain grows, expand into other agent and LLM-driven systems across the product and internal tooling.

Applied AI Engineer

• Own the roadmap for our automation vertical. from problem definition and opportunity sizing through agent design, rollout, and measurable outcomes in production.
• Partner with operations and engineering to translate messy real-world workflows into agent-executable specs. Shadow ops teams, reverse-engineer payer portals, read denial letters, and turn all of it into structured requirements an agent can act on.
• Define the evaluation and observability story for your agents. Manage the metrics, evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths.
• Prioritize ruthlessly across competing customer asks, platform investments, and net-new automation surfaces. Decide what becomes productized vs. what stays bespoke.
• Partner with GTM on positioning, pricing signals, and customer expansion - automation ROI is the story, and you'll help tell it with the data to back it up.

Staff Product Manager, Automation

Engineer

• Embed with new and existing customer practices, remotely and on-site, to map prior authorization, referral, and related workflows end to end.
• Build and own the integrations that connect Ascertain's agents to customer systems: EHR APIs (Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.), payer portals, fax and EDI, document intake, and the rest of the practice's stack.
• Configure and extend our agent platform for each customer—ontology, prompts, tools, guardrails, escalation paths—and harden what works into reusable patterns.
• Debug production issues across the full stack: data, prompts, APIs, UI, and the surrounding human workflow.
• Serve as the technical voice in customer conversations. Translate between clinical-operations language and engineering, and make informed decisions on what to build, what to configure, and what to decline.
• Surface learnings to the product and platform teams so patterns discovered once become reusable.

Forward Deployed Engineer

Business Operations

• Drive Internal Automation & Efficiency: Work directly with Partner Ops, Implementations, and Commercial to understand their workflows, surface opportunities to move faster, and deploy solutions yourself. Evaluate and implement agentic and AI tools that extend what our teams can do.
• Build Reporting & Analytics Infrastructure: Own the throughput, productivity, and quality metrics that leadership and clients rely on. Deliver clean weekly roll-ups, run ad hoc analyses when something looks off, and proactively surface risks before they become escalations.
• QA New Product Features: Test features as they ship, catch issues early, and close the feedback loop back to product and engineering.
• Support Client Go-Lives: Help with capacity planning and operational readiness as new clients come online.
• Institutionalize What Works: Capture SOPs and operational playbooks so what we learn in one corner of the business scales across the whole team.
