About the role

  • Provide leadership for the administration of Arrow’s qualified and non-qualified retirement plans
  • Oversee relationships with recordkeeping and custodian vendors
  • Support the administration of Arrow’s Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP)
  • Monitor plan performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience
  • Review and audit employee and Arrow contributions
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to reconcile contributions
  • Audit retirement plan eligibility and participant data
  • Resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Monitor and audit loan data to ensure adherence to terms and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform secondary reviews of additional calculations and system entries as needed
  • Handle escalated retirement benefit inquiries in a timely manner
  • Manage special projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a liaison with plan recordkeepers, retirement committee, trustees
  • Update Summary Plan Descriptions and applicable administrative process documents
  • Interpret, review and update plan policies and procedures
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements
  • Lead audits and reviews of retirement plans
  • Develop employee communications for retirement plans and disseminate announcements/reminders

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate has at least a 4-year degree
  • At least 8 years prior retirement benefits experience with progressively more complex assignments and responsibilities
  • Benefit project management experience
  • Advanced understanding of retirement benefit principles, practices and trends
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient use of HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and benefits related web applications required
  • Proven client relationship skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate well, and work effectively as a team member or a project lead
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate advanced writing skills and able to draft email communications, FAQs, training content in Word and PowerPoint, manager and HR talking points, research summaries, etc. related to compensation programs, systems, and practices
  • Demonstrate prior experience consulting with employees and HR colleagues, regarding retirement plans and the implementation of retirement practices
  • Ability to assess situations, understand problems and identify the root cause, evaluate potential solutions and implications, and form a plan to address challenges independently
  • Ability to keep highly sensitive human resources and compensation information confidential.
