About the role

  • Manage and optimize Armacell’s end-to-end import and export processes and international trade operations
  • Support Customs and Trade Compliance Manager with imports and exports and Trade Compliance issues with CBP and other government agencies
  • Accurately classify products/components using HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN
  • Utilize the CBP ACE Portal to monitor import/export entries, duties, post summary corrections, and other compliance activities
  • Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to arrange, track, and ensure timely clearance and delivery
  • Facilitate requirements for US Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and other Preferential Trade Programs
  • Audit import/export shipments to ensure compliance and maintain processes, procedures, and manuals for training/auditing
  • Interface and collaborate with Business Areas, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and R&D

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 7+ years of demonstrated growth and experience working in Trade Compliance and International Transportation
  • Experience working with customs brokers, forwarding agents, and other Partner Government Agencies (PGA’s)
  • Expert knowledge of current import & export regulations (CBP, BIS)
  • Ability to accurately classify products and components using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, and ECCN knowledge
  • Understanding US Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and other Preferential Trade Programs
  • Understanding of restrictions associated with sanctions and embargoes
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
