About the role
- Complies with departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and adheres to Argens' organizational standards.
- Conducts cycle counts and accurately inputs results into the QAD system.
- Ensures area cleanliness and proper product organization, including consolidation of items and lot numbers.
- Completes daily cycle count sheets and promptly reports any discrepancies or variances to supervisory personnel.
- Releases materials to internal departments according to established processes.
- Responds to and fulfills material requests from internal departments efficiently.
- Accurately records inventory movements and transactions in the QAD system, identifying and addressing any variances.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of recorded transactions.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment in alignment with safety regulations and standards.
- Cross-trains across multiple areas to enhance operational flexibility and support team objectives.
- Reports issues, concerns, or discrepancies to the Lead, Supervisor, or Manager in a timely and professional manner.
- Manages inventory control processes, including the identification and reporting of excess or obsolete products.
- Oversees product dating, ensuring that items nearing expiration are identified and promptly reported for appropriate action.
- Assists in the receiving process by auditing shelves to consolidate item numbers across different storage areas.
- Supports the kitting process by preparing and releasing materials to designated kitting cells.
- Facilitates the receiving of products and ensures accurate inventorying of incoming items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 plus years of experience in inventory control preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently across four or more workstations with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete additional responsibilities.
- Attention to detail and quality focused.
- Schedule adherence and dependability.
- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (SOP/Supervision).
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and meet production goals.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
