Team Lead – Cloud & DevOps

Security Engineer

• Analyze and design security architectures for complex IT infrastructures, taking into account ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz and other relevant standards and guidelines
• Conduct risk analyses and derive concrete, technically implementable security requirements
• Develop and independently implement preventive protection measures at the architecture and design level (cloud, on-premises, Kubernetes)
• Integrate security requirements into existing systems, architectures and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Advise clients—especially in the public sector—on regulatory requirements in the context of modern IT and cloud infrastructures (e.g. DORA, NIS2, KRITIS)
• Establish and further develop information security and emergency management systems
• Enable development and operations teams to independently implement security requirements
• Create and maintain security documentation and conduct training and awareness measures

IT Security Architect

Marketing

• You take responsibility for one of our marketing channels (LinkedIn) and support its operational management and maintenance
• You maintain and schedule LinkedIn posts, prepare content, adjust images and formats, and coordinate publications
• You collaborate with freelancers and support the coordination of marketing content
• You assist in organizing and following up on events and trade shows, e.g. participant lists, deadlines, speaker submissions, or giveaways
• You adapt existing Canva and PowerPoint templates and prepare content in a visually appealing way
• You create smaller design assets such as social media graphics, event banners, or presentation slides in the corporate design
• You support internal marketing processes, coordinate approvals, monitor deadlines, and ensure structured filing

Working Student (Marketing)

• You will work actively in project teams and support our clients in developing and implementing secure, scalable and future-proof cloud strategies.
• Analyze customer requirements and derive viable technical solution approaches.
• Design, build and further develop modern cloud and platform architectures with a focus on Kubernetes in a Private Cloud context, as well as with selected public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS).
• Architect and design scalable, secure and maintainable system landscapes.
• Build and operate container platforms based on Kubernetes.
• Create and enhance automation such as CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests and release cycles, e.g., with GitLab, ArgoCD or Azure DevOps.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Analyze and assess existing architectures and present recommended courses of action.
• Coach team members on cloud and platform topics.
• Contribute to ARES-internal projects.
