About the role
- The Camp Manager will be responsible for the development of the operational team and hourly employees.
- The Camp Manager will interact daily with the client and the client’s employees.
- This individual will be focused on ensuring operational excellence.
- Plan, manage, and oversee multiple contracted services for a single client while meeting operational and financial objectives, client expectations, and customer needs.
- Ensure the safe delivery of high-quality culinary and hospitality services in a remote environment.
- Accountable for fiscal management, including operational forecasts, food and labor targets, and cost controls.
- Motivate, train, and supervise hourly staff and supervisors on key programs such as Customer Service, Culinary Excellence, and Waste Management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of management/leadership experience, preferably in remote camps, hotel operations, or the hospitality sector.
- Business Diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities/partners.
- Advanced Food Safety certifications are mandatory.
- First Aid Certification is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, as some of our clients are English‑speaking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with supervision.
- Strong prioritization and time‑management skills.
