About the role

  • Support daily kitchen operations to high standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene rules, and company policies.
  • Participate in menu planning to ensure variety, innovation, and adherence to projected profit margins.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Manage food orders and deliveries, ensuring that approved suppliers are used and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure that HACCP procedures and food safety records are properly implemented and maintained.
  • Contribute to inventory control, staff training, kitchen cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure risk assessment and maintain effective communication with staff and customers.
  • Comply with the company dress code and assist with all reasonable tasks related to kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Able to manage kitchen operations and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with staff and customers at all levels.
  • Ability to follow and give clear instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Training in food hygiene or MAPAQ certification or equivalent is mandatory.
  • 1 to 2 years of practical kitchen experience in a professional or industrial setting, including meal preparation and application of HACCP standards.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Reliable, motivated, flexible, and willing to undergo training if necessary.
