About the role
- Provide support to the Human Resources Manager in all HR-related functions
- Ensure smooth and efficient HR operations and expert guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Assist in employee relations and building communication channels
- Ensure equitable application of company policies and practices
- Investigate and address disagreements in a timely and impartial manner
- Partner with department managers for seasonal staffing needs
- Collaborate in opening and managing hourly employee requisitions
- Facilitate new hire orientation
- Assist site managers with processing and administering leave benefits
- Manage employee records ensuring they are accurate and secure
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in employee relations or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or relevant equitable experience
- Ability to work onsite
- Must be able to work a flexible event driven schedule which frequently includes evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar role
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, tactfully, and diplomatically in English; additional languages a plus
- Ability to influence others on policies, practices, and procedure
- Ability to understand and maintain compliance with relevant federal, state and local employment laws
- Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with case management technology preferred
