About the role

  • Provide support to the Human Resources Manager in all HR-related functions
  • Ensure smooth and efficient HR operations and expert guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in employee relations and building communication channels
  • Ensure equitable application of company policies and practices
  • Investigate and address disagreements in a timely and impartial manner
  • Partner with department managers for seasonal staffing needs
  • Collaborate in opening and managing hourly employee requisitions
  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Assist site managers with processing and administering leave benefits
  • Manage employee records ensuring they are accurate and secure

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or relevant equitable experience
  • Ability to work onsite
  • Must be able to work a flexible event driven schedule which frequently includes evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • Experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar role
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, tactfully, and diplomatically in English; additional languages a plus
  • Ability to influence others on policies, practices, and procedure
  • Ability to understand and maintain compliance with relevant federal, state and local employment laws
  • Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with case management technology preferred
