About the role
- Own IT operations and compliance as the hands-on IT specialist and primary IT contact.
- Provide direct IT support to employees (hardware, software, accounts, access).
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, devices, and internal tools.
- Manage identity management, email, document management, and communication systems.
- Implement and maintain IT policies for PCI, SOC2, and GDPR compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments.
- Train employees on IT security best practices.
- Keep IT systems updated, secure, and running efficiently.
- Recommend improvements to tools, processes, and vendor usage.
- Monitor and optimize IT spend.
- Communicate clearly with employees and leadership about IT issues and solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in an IT leadership, IT operations, or IT compliance role within a growing technology company.
- Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure, including identity management systems, email, document management, and communication platforms.
- Strong understanding of internal IT support/helpdesk functions and stakeholder communication.
- Deep understanding of IT systems, hardware lifecycle management, and endpoint security.
- Experience with IT budgeting, cost rationalization, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations, especially PCI, SOC2, and GDPR.
- Experience designing and implementing compliance policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading internal audits.
- Ability to monitor regulatory updates and translate them into actionable internal policies.
- Experience leading or supporting SOC2 and GDPR audit processes is a strong plus.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to promote a culture of security and compliance across the organization.
