About the role
- Facilitate and coordinate PEO-level strategic briefings, messages (PA/Media), reports, analysis, and special projects
- Develop, facilitate, update, and coordinate 3-letter and 4-letter level briefings, tasks, reports, media queries, public releases, and special projects
- Develop, maintain, and update instructions, implementation guides, charters, and standardized processes per regulations and directives
- Retrieve, review, synopsize, and distribute current DoD, Air Force, Space Force, and SSC policy, guidance, instructions, processes, procedures, and best practices
- Support development, procurement, data collection, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, verification, validation, protection, and maintenance of tools, processes, methodologies, models, simulations, databases, websites, reports, and applications
- Review documents for consistency with applicable military, federal, state, local, contractual, commercial, and international statutes, regulations, policies, directives, and standards
- Provide recommendations to the Government on deliverables or services with multiple options
- Generate, consolidate, and present material, reports, and point papers to support meetings
- Prepare and complete acquisition-related documents and submit recommendations for streamlining and improving acquisition processes
- Provide information, analysis, and recommendations for aligning portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding
- Evaluate acquisition documentation for adherence to policy, consistency in implementation, and realism within cost, schedule, and performance constraints
- Analyze program baselines and schedules and recommend executable options for handling changes impacting performance, schedule, and funding
- Support PEO’s strategic planning by providing engineering, technical, architecture, and acquisition support to Government decisions
- Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, testimony, position papers, and formal reports on the Directorate, organization, missions, operations, and initiatives
Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
- Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in Program Management with related experience
- Ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff
- Ability to provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts
- Ability to consult with client to define needs and problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data
- Ability to initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Preferred: Master’s Degree
- Preferred: 15+ years of experience to include 7+ years DoD experience
- Familiarity with space-related research, acquisitions, and communications disciplines
- Effective, efficient written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
- Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
