About the role

  • Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through HR staff, identifying opportunities for improvement and resolving issues
  • Leads the development of departmental goals, objectives, and systems, providing strategic leadership for performance evaluation
  • Manages the development and maintenance of the HR sections on the company website, focusing on recruiting, culture, and company information, as well as the employee intranet
  • Establishes and leads standard recruiting and hiring practices to attract and hire a superior workforce
  • Conducts interviews for management and executive positions, serving as part of the interview team for position finalists
  • Partners with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and legal requirements
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote high levels of employee morale and motivation
  • Provides engagement opportunities for the company to enhance employee satisfaction and retention
  • Assists with benefits administration, including open enrollment and addressing general benefit concerns
  • Coaches and trains managers in effective communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction with their employees, ensuring ethical, honest, and legal communication practices
  • Conducts investigations as required or directed by leadership
  • Supports employee needs by being empathetic and responsive to personal issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy
  • Demonstrated performance in consulting with line managers in matters relating to employee development, performance management and general HR related area
  • A solid, working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration
  • Experience working in a remote organization is a PLUS
  • Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality.
