About the role

  • Assist in day-to-day team management including, but not limited to, deliverable tracking, valuation model reviews, third-party valuation firm coordination, and valuation proposal reporting
  • Lead the execution of valuation models in accordance with Antares’s valuation policy
  • Review inputs, assumptions, and methodologies for consistency and accuracy with internal credit perspectives and broadly accepted valuation techniques
  • Review, reconcile, and challenge conclusions
  • Lead back-testing and stress-testing design and reporting
  • Coordinate activities and materials for the Antares Valuation Committee with a focus on identifying and presenting trends and performance drivers relevant to our business
  • Drive process enhancements and efficiency leveraging resources and technology
  • Advance transparency and reduce closing timelines
  • Act as a liaison for internal and external auditors
  • Manage inquiries and convey valuation policy and process rigor
  • Assist in the on-going training and development of analysts and associates
  • Collaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
  • 6+ years of related work experience in valuations, transaction services, a private credit fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles
  • Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions with a thorough understanding of ASC 820
  • Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratch
  • Effective project management skills with an awareness of internal business controls
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to forge strong collaborative relationships with internal partners/stakeholders at all levels
  • CFA, FRM, CPA preferred
