About the role
- Assist in day-to-day team management including, but not limited to, deliverable tracking, valuation model reviews, third-party valuation firm coordination, and valuation proposal reporting
- Lead the execution of valuation models in accordance with Antares’s valuation policy
- Review inputs, assumptions, and methodologies for consistency and accuracy with internal credit perspectives and broadly accepted valuation techniques
- Review, reconcile, and challenge conclusions
- Lead back-testing and stress-testing design and reporting
- Coordinate activities and materials for the Antares Valuation Committee with a focus on identifying and presenting trends and performance drivers relevant to our business
- Drive process enhancements and efficiency leveraging resources and technology
- Advance transparency and reduce closing timelines
- Act as a liaison for internal and external auditors
- Manage inquiries and convey valuation policy and process rigor
- Assist in the on-going training and development of analysts and associates
- Collaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
- 6+ years of related work experience in valuations, transaction services, a private credit fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles
- Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions with a thorough understanding of ASC 820
- Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratch
- Effective project management skills with an awareness of internal business controls
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to forge strong collaborative relationships with internal partners/stakeholders at all levels
- CFA, FRM, CPA preferred
