About the role

  • Originate and lead business valuation engagements, generating $2–$4 million+ in annual revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Expanded the firm's services by introducing specialized valuation expertise to provide financial opinions, attracting new clients, and broadening market reach.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms, investment banks, and corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Managing Directors to cross-sell services and expand client relationships.
  • Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to junior team members.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership and market-facing content to enhance Ankura’s brand in the transaction advisory space.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in business valuations, M&A advisory, or transaction services.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Proven track record of generating $2–$4 million+ in annual revenue and personally billing at a senior level.
  • Deep relationships with key stakeholders in the M&A ecosystem, including private equity firms, investment banks, and corporate development teams.
  • Undergraduate degree from a top academic institution; advanced degrees and professional certifications
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • High energy, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, concise recommendations to clients.
  • Ability to travel as needed for business development, deal execution and firm-related matters
