About the role
- Manage transaction monitoring alerts and disposition workflows
- Use blockchain analytics tools to disposition alerts and investigate transactions
- Assist in tuning exercises and implement monitoring rules to prevent and detect money laundering, fraud or other financial crime
- Identify gaps in team workflows and procedures and raise suggestions to leadership for remediation and training
- Provide feedback to direct leadership on methods or systems used by the team and escalate when blocked
- Mentor new hires in onboarding, system setup, and training of processes
- Participate in hiring by submitting referrals or conducting interviews
- Ensure knowledge sharing across the transaction monitoring team to avoid single points of failure
- Consistently deliver high-quality, timely work and communicate status to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in BSA/AML transactional review for institutional clients
- Knowledge in BSA/AML and/or Sanctions regulations
- Expertise in using blockchain analytics tools to disposition transaction monitoring alerts, preferably at a Bank or regulated Exchange
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience with transaction monitoring tools and ability to discuss them with senior management
- Experience identifying gaps in team workflows and procedures and suggesting remediation, including training
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills and manage multiple tasks with little to no direction
- Experience mentoring or onboarding new hires, system setup, and training of processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly curious and a fast learner
- Bonus: expertise in data analytics and/or spreadsheet pivots/formulas for data analysis
- Bonus: Blockchain Analytics Certifications (TRM, Chainalysis, etc.)
