About the role
- Plan and lead major technology assignments; function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
- Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
- Collaborate with nontechnical, national security investigators and analysts to understand data science needs and suggest solutions
- Lead and/or design machine learning, statistical analysis, and data analysis tasks
- Leverage existing and/or conduct custom ETL work to aggregate and condition data from multiple repositories
- Interpret data, identify features and model variables, assess model output quality, generate alternatives, and conduct remediation
- Find and design new approaches to handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of data and/or data sets
- Design new software code to improve data search processes; design, test, and validate quality of data and data processes
- Automate routine workflows and data analysis steps to assist with workflow automation
- Report results of analyses and provide actionable recommendations
- May supervise others
Requirements
- Demonstrate high level of proficiency in all functional responsibilities and expert knowledge of data science and/or data analytics with Python
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the area of Computer Science
- Bachelors/Masters in relevant field strongly preferred
- Top Secret clearance required and ability to obtain a CI clearance with a polygraph
- Proficiency with machine learning (ML), statistical analysis, and data analysis
- Experience performing Extract Transform Load (ETL) work to aggregate and condition data from multiple repositories
- Experience designing, testing, and validating data quality and data processes
- Experience automating workflows and data analysis steps
- Ability to collaborate with nontechnical national security investigators and analysts
