Support the Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) project
Extract data from various IT systems using SQL and other programming languages
Work with various types of data to develop, maintain and enhance reports, analysis and models
Manage, treat and integrate data to create clean, structured data sets for use in reports, analyses, studies and models
Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research using client data; formulate hypotheses, test them and present results
Use advanced statistical techniques to identify and measure trends, anomalies, forecast future values and determine other relevant insight
Document requirements, processes and develop SOPs
Collaborate with team and stakeholders; work independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to mathematics, economics, data science, statistics, or computer science
3+ years of experience in data analysis
Experience working with large, disparate datasets from multiple sources/databases
Strong Proficiency in Python and SQL
Solid Proficiency in Databricks or Tableau software
Strong analytical, data extraction and data treatment skills required
Ability to quickly understand complex data structures and formulate queries to extract information as needed
Ability to think analytically, outside-the-box, and dive to the root cause of situations
Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
Ability to gather and interpret large amounts of data and information and quickly recognize what is superfluous and what is relevant using analytical and statistical techniques
Ability to build both simple and complex models using client data
Ability to quickly understand client business requirements using interviews, document analysis, and self-directed research
Ability to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally
US Citizenship is required
Must be able to clear a Public Trust screening
Nice to have: prior experience with USCIS or immigration
