About the role
- Provide hands-on technical & architectural leadership as a role model for delivering outstanding projects to our business stakeholders.
- Make the data AI-ready to augment Amplitude’s AI journey. Own and evolve our enterprise data strategy, spanning ingestion, storage, governance, and visualization.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructures for structured and unstructured data with clear data models, taxonomies, and semantic layers.
- Deliver Critical business reporting and analytics across various domains ie finance, GTM, Product, Customer Support, etc
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of data professionals across AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, analytics, and BI.
- Expand the Data Governance program at Amplitude, keeping Data Security and quality at the forefront.
- Drive adoption and best practices for Snowflake, Tableau, DBT, Fivetran, and other key tools in our stack.
- Partner closely with business and technology leaders to ensure data is trusted, accessible, and actionable for strategic decision-making.
- Build scalable processes and frameworks that improve data quality, compliance, and accessibility across the organization.
Requirements
- 15-20 years of hands-on experience in data strategy, engineering, or analytics, with at least 10+ years leading teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 20+ across diverse data functions.
- Deep experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Tableau, DBT, Fivetran) and governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; you can influence at the executive level while rolling up your sleeves when needed.
- Demonstrated success in building scalable data ecosystems that drive measurable business outcomes.
