DevOps Engineer

• Triage and respond to tickets, adhering to SLAs from 9:00am - 5:00pm in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Participation in the rotation of pager duty as we establish 24/5 escalation support for the facilities.
• Provide support for CoreTech devices including commissioning support, software upgrades, tooling maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot operating system, on-prem hardware, networking, container, and application issues to the point of mitigation, resolution, or hand-off. All devices are on-prem in AMP facilities.
• Maintain and extend documentation for the engineering support process.
• Help define improvements to the Jira ticketing system for ease of use and analytics tracking.
• Development tasks will be focused on increasing observability of software issues and creating mitigation tools to leverage when the software issues present. When subject matter experts are called upon in escalations, it will be the job of this role to take those lessons learned and turn them into tools enabling facilities to better self-serve.

• Drafting engineering drawings, developing and maintaining GIS mapping, and assisting in providing Substation and P&C designs.

• Participate in capital project engineering-related activities, including creating, revising, and maintaining detailed drawings, designs, records, sketches, and engineering documents.
• Review and recommend for approval engineering drawings and designs.
• In close collaboration with transmission operations, transmission planning, and transmission project management, engineering consultants, develop, maintain, and manage AMPT engineering standard drawings.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and managing AMPT's Computer Aided Design drawing library, as well as AMPT's Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping.
• Develop and maintain drawing management file system and engineering databases.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other AMPT functions, Members, and other stakeholders.

• Assist in power supply resource portfolio planning, modeling and market analysis for Municipal Electric Systems.
• Builds and maintains Excel spreadsheets and databases for planning, budgeting and load forecasting purposes.

• Analyzes and evaluates power supply options including power purchases and generation projects (including wind, solar, storage, diesel, natural gas and hydro).
