About the role
- Manage a team of Loan Processors and Loan processor assistants
- Maintain knowledge of the incoming pipeline and ensure daily progress on files
- Train and update processing staff on operational policies and procedures
- Assist processing staff and Sales Managers in resolving complex situations
- Monitor processing workflows to identify and implement enhancements
- Hold processing staff accountable for their pipelines and file flow timelines
- Monitor, review, and coach team members regarding performance
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all team members
- Communicate changes to the team effectively
- Interact with operational areas and management
- Follow up regarding inactive loans and data integrity
- Assist in evaluating efficient workflow processes
- Ensure professional communications between staff and borrowers
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly team performance reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage processing/underwriting experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage loan processing and pipeline management
- Nationwide lending experience in a call center environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of TRID, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines
- Knowledge of FHA Connection, Encompass and the VA portal
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to multitask in a high stress, deadline-driven environment
