About the role

  • Total account management of display advertisers in specific geographic territory
  • Sale of display advertising space to new and existing accounts in Transport Topics and other TTPG products
  • Representing TTPG at industry trade shows and conferences
  • Interact with ATA staff, industry and government agencies, vendors, suppliers, subscribers and advertisers
  • Achieve territory share of the display ad revenue budget
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures and foster a team-based work environment
  • Flexible and efficient time management; manage and prioritize workload in fast-paced environment
  • Travel required 30-40% of the time
  • Accomplish sales objectives via in-person sales presentations, telemarketing, mail and email
  • Present proposals, handle objections, negotiate and close sales; process orders and coordinate paperwork
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities with TTPG’s Online products
  • Meet all required sales reporting requirements
  • Maintain current technical, product and procedure knowledge by attending training and reading updates

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in business, advertising, marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years direct sales experience required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Planning, organizing and analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Must be adaptable, pay attention to detail and possess excellent time management skills
  • A team player attitude is essential
