About the role

  • Collect data from all assigned tower assets while maintaining high standards of data quality.
  • Use multiple methods for data collection, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
  • Partner cross-functionally to manage maintenance and repairs for towers, rooftop installations, fiber-based networks, and generators within a geographic area.
  • Perform routine site audits on assets in an assigned area/zone in an efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing UAS and other data collection tools.
  • Ensure assets meet safety, compliance, and asset integrity standards by identifying and documenting discrepancies and following through on remediation.
  • Engage with customers and vendors to manage projects, attend pre-construction meetings and post-construction site walks, and gather/process closeout data.
  • Respond quickly to issues with backup generators, fiber-based networks, or emergency events to meet customer service level agreements.
  • Spend approximately 75% of time outside of a conventional office environment visiting assets in a Company vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in telecommunications or a related field required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license required and demonstrated safe driving record.
  • Able to travel extensively by car or truck; approximately 40% overnight travel may be required.
  • Must have, or within a year of hire obtain, FAA Part 107 Certification to operate UAS.
  • Vendor management experience, real-estate management experience, or a civil construction background preferred.
  • Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, radio frequency, wireless, or ethernet backhaul experience preferred.
  • Ability to use discretion when setting priorities and resolving issues in accordance with Company best practices and standards.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use additional Company software applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and traverse developed and undeveloped construction sites.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed upon timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
