About the role
- Serve as the technical visionary and tactical general behind the transformation
- Define the 'North Star' architecture
- Lead the transition from on-premises-only to cloud-first, modular SaaS
- Drive the shift to a holistic 'AI-Native' architecture
- Embed security into the platform
- Assess technology stacks and roadmap for integration
- Design standards for high-availability cloud environments
- Architect solutions for real-time media ingestion
Requirements
- 15+ years of enterprise architecture experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Direct and significant experience in the Public Safety sector
- Hands-on expertise with cloud-native patterns (Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture)
- Proven experience architecting solutions for real-time media streaming
- Deep understanding of modernization techniques and patterns
- Deep familiarity with CJIS compliance, FIPS standards, and data sovereignty requirements
- Expert knowledge and experience architecting platforms to support data science workflows
- Advanced knowledge of industry interchange standards such as NIEM, NIBRS, and CAD-to-CAD interfaces
- Strong influence, negotiation and communication skills
- Possession of advanced security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) is required
