About the role
- Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations collegues to build a plan to drive sales growth, establish goals, track, analyze & monitor results
- Consistently prospect, qualify / disqualify to prioritize the highest potentials for new business
- Prioritize the best opportunities based on the customer, sales cycle, budget, timeline & business fit
- Work with QA, operations and supply chain to identify & solve customer problems, elevating to ensure when necessary to ensure customer needs are met.
- Develop pricing and quoting acumen to respond to customer’s needs using a complete market perspective
- Over time, become a subject matter expert on Carmeuse’s products to help guide customers to the best solution based on their requirements
- Attend conferences, tradeshows, and industry events to build knowledge and relationships
- Monitor competitive activity and gather market intelligence to provide regular updates on opportunities and threats
- Learn & embrace the Carmeuse’s professional selling process
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer, prospect and opportunity records using the Carmeuse’s CRM system
- Generate and maintain accurate forecasts
- Provide recommendations for product and service enhancements
Requirements
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
- 3+ years of successful B2B sales, construction or aggregates sales a plus
- Business development experience in construction or associated industry a plus
- Travel 60% of time
- Regular office presence required to build rapport and collaboration
