About the role
- Perform new account openings and account maintenance within the Client Service Team based on client requests and supporting documentation including, but not limited to: Commercial Real Estate, Climate Finance, and Business Banking segments.
- Assist the Client Services Team as a contact for assigned clients; liaising with other areas of the bank to resolve client issues.
- Consult with clients to make appropriate recommendations on product, services and fee structures.
- Ensure respective CRE/Climate Finance/Business Relationship Managers are well informed of client issues, requests, and opportunities for growth.
- Participate in sales process as requested by CRE, Climate Finance, and Business Bankers offering product expertise, online banking demonstrations and pro forma analyses.
- For new clients, provide and implement flawless account transition services from the incumbent bank to Amalgamated Bank including account opening, treasury management service enrollment, and online banking training.
- Complete monthly or annual audit reviews as required for select products and services.
- Review and decision of daily overdraft and other account reports; escalate issues to management as needed.
- Review daily and monthly reports including, but not limited to: new accounts, account maintenance, XAA preliminary statements, XAA waivers, XAA maintenance changes, fee refunds, RDC returns, ACH debit origination returns
- Process credit report request as needed by underwriting and relationship team(s)
- Run prospective borrowers through Know Your Customer (KYC) process including but not limited to OFAC, LexisNexis and various AML systems.
- Start all Commercial Real Estate loan packages by processing initial deposit, assigning mortgage number, creating digital loan file, etc.
- Research and follow up on outstanding issues, inquiries or documents on Commercial accounts to ensure timely completion and resolution.
- Maintain compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulations.
- Demonstrate a superior level of service, product acumen and attention to detail.
- Work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Two to three years of experience in client-facing roles; work experience in the financial services industry a plus
- Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment
- Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office software package (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Horizon XE is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and able to respond in a timely manner
- Passion to support and work with socially responsible and mission-based organization
