💰 $82,000 - $110,000 per year
About the role
- Primarily responsible for development of new products and enhancement of existing products
- Create concepts, modeling, and drafting designs utilizing 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Draft design history file (DHF) documents and generate design assurance documentation
- Develop test plans and generate protocols for testing and analyzing new and current products
- Assist in development of processes for Manufacturing, Quality Control, Regulatory, and Planning
- Collaborate on development of inspection methods and initiate/execute manufacturability design changes
- Serve on cross-functional product development teams from concept through product launch
- Assist Project Engineers with technical input for Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs (including FDA 510(k) support)
- Create and process Change Orders (CO’s)
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in spine or implantable orthopedic medical devices. Co-Op experience can be applied.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior management
- Knowledge in the use and interpretation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of manufacturing methods, predominantly with metals and plastics, preferred.
- Candidate must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to constantly learn and contribute.
