DevSecOps Engineer

Director

• Lead and develop three sub-teams: Platform Engineering & ETL, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science & Analytics. Manage leads, set priorities, and ensure delivery.
• Own the Data Lakehouse architecture: Trino, Iceberg/GCS, Airflow, Airbyte, Redpanda CDC, dbt. Make build-vs-buy decisions on tooling.
• Drive partner invoicing accuracy and evolution: ensure invoicing logic is versioned, reproducible, and scales with new pricing mechanisms and product launches.
• Deliver embedded analytics: expose warehouse data to partners via BrokerDash, SSR pipelines, and API-based reporting. Own row-level security and entitlements.
• Support product launches with data change management: coordinate data impact analysis for new products (fixed income, global stocks, perps, 24/5 trading) across downstream datasets, dashboards, and reverse ETL.
• Accelerate self-service: move the organization toward self-serve analytics via semantic layers, data catalogues, and conversational BI so the data team can shift from ad-hoc queries to strategic projects.
• Guide AI/ML enablement: oversee enterprise AI search, agent-based workflow automation, and LLM-powered analytics. Help balance vendor solutions with in-house development.

Artificial Intelligence

• Support the execution of Alpaca’s cybersecurity risk management program
• Conduct cyber risk assessments across cloud infrastructure, APIs, trading systems, and internal platforms
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and evaluating AI-related risks (model risk, data privacy, bias, explainability, adversarial threats, model misuse)
• Help develop and maintain AI governance controls aligned with evolving regulatory expectations, such as the EU AI Act

• Own Broker API sales enablement strategy

Sales Enablement Analyst, Broker API

Operations

• Design, implement, and maintain the Ops Control framework across back-office operations, including settlement, clearing, custody, cashiering, margin, stock loan, and customer communications
• Oversee ICOC review design, testing, and documentation to ensure reviews are risk-based, well-documented, and performed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Independently verify that large and aged deficits, suspense items, stock record breaks, securities lending breaks, aged recalls, and fail positions are identified, escalated, and resolved within defined timeframes
• Independently oversee and test operational processes performed by ops teams to confirm controls are properly designed, operating as intended, and consistently followed.

• Reporting to the Vice President, the Commercial Counsel will have exceptional negotiating and drafting experience, product support, and fintech services industry experience.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial and commercial agreements, including clearing agreements, crypto and digital asset services agreements, securities lending and margin documentation, B2B API, SaaS, and embedded brokerage partnerships, derivatives and futures documentation, vendor and event contracts.
• Structure novel partnership arrangements that support Alpaca’s API-first brokerage model.
• Develop scalable contracting frameworks, templates, and playbooks to support global expansion.

Conversion Rate Optimizer

• The Executive Assistant (EA) will be a force multiplier for Alpaca’s Chief Revenue Officer.
• Own the CRO’s calendar end-to-end, optimizing for time blocks, deep-work windows, external meetings, and travel schedules.
• Plan multi-country itineraries supporting board meetings, regulator visits, customer on-sites, and conferences.
• Manage document preparation, board materials, contracts, NDAs, vendor forms, and internal coordination.
• Assist with building, formatting, and polishing board decks, customer proposals, investor materials, and strategic memos.
• Act as the first line of defence to protect the CRO’s time from low-value tasks or distractions.
• Track progress of CRO-led initiatives, including global licenses, customer escalations, revenue targets, M&A conversations, and partnership programs.

Executive Assistant – CRO

Security Operations

• Own the relationship with our managed SOC, including alert quality, escalation workflows, SLAs, runbooks, and continuous improvement of detection coverage and response effectiveness. Assist with triage, investigations, and respond to security alerts across endpoints, identity, cloud, network, and application logs.
• Operate and maintain our SIEM, including log onboarding, parsing, normalization, correlation rules, alert tuning, and lifecycle management to reduce noise and increase signal.
• Ensure critical systems generate the right security telemetry, filling gaps across endpoints, identity providers, network devices, SaaS tools, and cloud platforms.
• Continuously refine detection logic based on threat intelligence, SOC feedback, incident learnings, and emerging attack techniques.
• Assist with security incidents, working with IT, Engineering, and external partners to contain, eradicate, and recover from incidents.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve incident response playbooks, escalation paths, and communication procedures.
• Track and report on key security operations metrics such as alert volumes, false positive rates, mean time to detect (MTTD), mean time to respond (MTTR), and SOC performance.

Client Services Representative

• Assist clients and broker partners by being the first point of contact on service needs and issues
• Submit and process certain operational requests as instructed by the brokerage team and/or client/broker partners. Examples include funds distributions, cash and stock journals, account updates, ACATs initiation, and other operational tasks.
• Researching and responding to clients’ issues relating to form submissions, transfers, and various other operational items.
• Interact with several internal groups to resolve client issues. This can include the trading desk, brokerage operations, sales team, solutions team, customer success team, engineering, and product teams.
