About the role
- Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering and product teams on platform architecture, modernization, and best practices.
- Liaison between technical and business leaders, providing direction and guidance of future strategy ensuring the roadmaps for both business and technology align tactically and strategically.
- Design and implement platform components using .NET Core, modern API patterns, and cloud-ready architectures.
- Develop and optimize SQL based data solutions, including schema design, performance tuning, and integration patterns.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities into platform services, including model consumption, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Lead platform assessments and conduct stakeholder and risk analysis along with problem-solving as high-priority initiatives arise and critical decisions need to be made.
- Influence Discovery and Framing sessions across the entire ecosystem, engaging in applying simplicity to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise and consider input from the Community of Platform in reaching decisions, enabling strategies/patterns, and when handling ECC red-to-green situations.
- Apply industry standards and engage in emerging technologies, filtering important findings to the rest of the community to ensure platform solutions meet enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure platform solutions meet regulatory and governance requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and automation strategies to improve developer experience and delivery velocity.
- Provide technical mentorship, documentation, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or solution architecture.
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core, including API development, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Deep experience with SQL (T SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, relational modeling).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast paced, evolving environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the health insurance or regulated industry domain.
- Exposure to event driven architectures, messaging systems, or data streaming platforms.
- Hands on experience with Azure AI services, ML Ops, or enterprise AI integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, model integration, or AI driven application features.
- Background in platform governance, standards development, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization using tools such as Docker/Kubernetes.
