About the role
- Create or audit comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines
- Train, mentor, control quality and provide technical assistance on material damage claims
- Write virtual and supplemental estimates and negotiate settlements and payments
- Evaluate settlement alternatives for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Build relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines
- Work for National General, a specialty personal lines insurance company owned by Allstate
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- Ideally located in the Eastern Time Zone (EST)
- Experience using CCC estimating software
- Experience writing virtual and supplemental estimates for non-DRP/network shops
- Familiarity with auto insurance estimating guidelines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Tech-savvy and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and contribute to team goals
- Strong estimating fundamentals and deep understanding of company policy types
- Authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship
