About the role
- Interact with borrowers and obtain necessary information on the property and guarantors/sponsors
- Maintain financial statement collection and keep track of past due documents
- Order periodic site inspections for commercial loan in the portfolio and maintain a log of completed inspections
- Advise management of issues identified in inspection reports
- Monitor portfolio loans for adherence to covenants and identify potential issues
- Conduct annual reviews of commercial loans, evaluate property financials and assess creditworthiness of guarantors/sponsors
- Determine annual risk ratings and prepare annual review reports for credit committee approval
- Perform market research using online and third-party applications and estimate updated asset valuations
- Maintain an organized filing system to ensure documents are up to date for audits
- Review requests for earnout provisions and prepare analytical reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, applicable state and federal laws, and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree - Business, Finance, Accounting or Related
- 4 years - Commercial Real Estate Lending or Related
- 6 years - Commercial Real Estate Lending or Related (in lieu of education)
- Experience with property-level financial evaluations, borrower and guarantor examinations
- Experience monitoring loan covenants and performing annual loan reviews
- Ability to prepare reports for credit committees and management
- Experience performing market research and estimating asset valuations
- Experience ordering and reviewing site inspections and maintaining inspection logs
- Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act compliance and applicable state and federal laws
- Strong organizational skills to maintain audit-ready filing systems
- Ability to interact with borrowers and obtain required documentation
