  • Product Manager – Physical Credentials & Electronics Accessories – Carmel, IN, Denver/Golden, CO or Colorado Springs, CO\nProduct Manager\nThe Product Manager is a highly collaborative position responsible for executing strategic projects across the electronics portfolio of products in the Readers and Credentials business with a focus on physical credentials.\nThis position is responsible for ensuring near term and long-term profitability for the business by partnering with the product leader and executing on the product plan, actively managing value propositions within programs, ensuring product line positioning, and all other aspects of product management within assigned strategic initiatives.\nThis position enables and drives collaboration and partnership with multiple functions such as marketing, sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering to achieve the successful execution of product plans and development of product roadmaps.\nAt Allegion, we are driven by a bold vision: redefining safety while empowering our employees to thrive. When you join our team, you become part of a culture that values innovation, purpose, and excellence.\nThis role offers the benefits of our dynamic hybrid work model—combining in-person collaboration for meaningful moments with the flexibility of remote work.\nSince hybrid arrangements can vary based on the needs of the individual, team and business, your talent acquisition partner will provide specific hybrid details about this role.\nWe are committed to fostering a healthy work-life balance and building meaningful connections, ensuring you have the tools, resources, and support needed to excel in any environment.\nTogether, we’ll unlock your potential and create a lasting impact.\nWhile this is the current structure and we currently have no plans to change, we reserve the right to make changes to the hybrid schedule as needed at the Company’s discretion.\nQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.\nThe company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.\nWhat You Will Do: Contribute to the development and ensure the execution of product activities that support Readers and Credentials business strategies\nLead the development and commercialization of credentials solutions including new encryption key delivery methods, security best practices, and credential offerings\nDrive sales and marketing initiatives to deliver accelerated adoption of Schlage readers and credentials\nSupport the Schlage credential portfolio development and sustainment and involved in the product development life cycle from start to finish.\nCollaborate with engineering to develop alternate ways to proceed with the development and delivery of new hardware and software solutions\nCollaborate with VAVE and sustainment teams to drive cost reductions to the credential portfolio, supporting a repricing initiative\nExecute strategic initiatives including; Design for quality, Develop and drive productivity improving gross margins, Ongoing competitive bench marking to establish portfolio positioning and messaging.\nDrive profitable project management that supports market price positioning and delivers on product cost requirements.\nExpert understanding of customer needs, changing industry requirements, and competitive positioning.\nIdentify trends and needs within the market space and evaluate them as potential business opportunities.\nBusiness case development: Collaborate with Product team members to finalize business cases that detail sales forecasts, development investment, and commercialization strategy.\nEvaluate internal and external financial, technology, channel, and market data in order to expand portfolio roadmaps and input into the organization’s Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan.\nParticipation in joint activities with the marketing organization including project planning, brand strategy, pricing/discount strategy, customer research and marketing communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.\n
  • Physical access control industry knowledge strongly preferred.\n
  • 5 + years of experience in product or marketing management or new product development preferred.\n
  • Experience with electronic products, manufactured goods and physical access control is also preferred.\n
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with diverse range of internal and external customers: customers, sales personnel, engineering, finance, executive leaderships, etc.\n
  • Proven ability to translate complex customer and channel needs into thoughtful, well-organized business cases and portfolio roadmaps.\n
  • Proven strategic planning ability and track record of supporting profitable business growth.\n
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, integrate, and execute new solutions within a business\n
  • Strong business and financial acumen (business cases, price positioning, product margin, commercialization strategy, channel management, etc.)\n
  • Ability to travel up to 25% required\n
