About the role

  • Support the operations team as a subject matter expert (SME) with new campus design, system’s operations, incident response, training, vendor support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Review drawings and contract documents for operational viewpoints.
  • Provide input on capital projects to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Mentor and provide development support to operations personnel.
  • Drive improvements in system performance, including water and electrical usage efficiency.
  • Develop standards for site management, vendor management, maintenance practices, and incident management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent training/experience.
  • 8+ years of Operational experience in data centers.
  • SME designation in mechanical, electrical, or BMS/controls equipment/systems.
  • SME with interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Ability to analyze critical infrastructure sequence of operations, design parameters, alarms and indicators, and performance trends.
  • System matter experience in the life cycle of data center operations from design, acceptance, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and event management.
  • Expertise to create standards and programs required to ensure “best in breed” data center operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
