About the role
- Coordinate day-to-day import/export of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the EU across air transportation
- Provide special expertise in international cruise services operations
- Work with customers to qualify shipping requirements and obtain necessary regulations, certificates, documentation
- Prepare profitable quotations accurately
- Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals
- Coordinate import/export including reviewing orders and documents
- Track and communicate delays, damages, problems and resolve customer issues
- Responsible for customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing for cruise services
- Manage tracking shipments, update system upon verification, and identify/rectify deviations
- Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners
- Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers and partners
- Ensure customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are met
- Ensure shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines
- Process and comply with regulatory agency requirements
- Network with departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month
- Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications
- Execute Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Contribute to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe conditions
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting
- Team player who works well with others
- Customer service focus
- Resolves non-routine problems with specialized knowledge
- Applies fundamental concepts and exercises judgment within defined procedures
- Utilizes established procedures and decides action within task
- Ability to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment

- Fluent oral and written English
- Additional (major) European languages would be an asset
- Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
- Cargo Wise Software experience a plus
- ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations
