About the role
- Oversee and guide complex aircraft repair projects from initial planning through embodiment and release to service
- Lead the Airbus working party team, mainly at customer facilities worldwide; manage team competencies and allocate work
- Carry out inspections and certify aircraft repair tasks, issuing Certificate of Release to Service per EASA/FAR Part 145
- Ensure airworthiness and maintain compliance with Airbus 145 procedures
- Act as the customer on-site focal point, building trust and ensuring clear communication
- Support development of special working party tools and Service Bulletins
- Provide advisory support to airlines and MROs in troubleshooting and repair embodiment
- Coordinate and empower the on-site Working Party Team; manage delivery on time, cost and quality
- Extensive global travel to customer sites throughout the year
Requirements
- Hold an EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence Cat B1 (B2 and C are an added advantage)
- Minimum of two current Airbus Type Ratings as CAT B1
- Completed a technical apprenticeship in the aviation sector with appropriate further training/education
- Several years of certifying experience in a supervisory role
- Experience working extensively abroad and leading diverse international teams
- Strong knowledge of structural aircraft repair and maintenance (preferred)
- Experience with IT tools such as SAP, Workday, AirNavX, and Google Workspace (preferred)
- English at a negotiation level
- Proven experience in managing and leading teams; strong communication and customer focus
- Ability to certify aircraft repair tasks and issue Certificate of Release to Service in accordance with EASA/FAR Part 145
- Strong willingness to travel on business throughout the entire year, worldwide
- Subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check)
