Support the Design Organisation as an Engineering Technical Writer.
Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design procedures, work instructions, manuals, and process documentation, in accordance with EASA and company standards.
Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant aerospace standards.
Demonstrate extreme attention to detail in all aspects of document creation, review, and revision, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, compliance, and other cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation reflects current processes and best practices.
Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documents suitable for a range of audiences, including engineers, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Support the continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency and maintain technical excellence.
Maintain document control and version management in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, ensuring traceability and accessibility.
Review and edit documents produced by other team members for clarity, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
Stay current with changes in aerospace regulations, standards, and best practices, proactively updating documentation as needed.
Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, large-company environment.
Ensure long-term maintainability and usability of documentation, supporting the organisation’s commitment to technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
Adhere to company confidentiality, security, and data protection policies in all documentation activities.
Experience working in a large, complex organisation is highly desirable, with proven ability to navigate and coordinate across multiple departments.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft design or in a technical field that is highly regulated.
Must have existing rights to work in either UK or Ireland or Germany.
Very high attention to detail.
A passion for standardisation, technical documentation quality and organisation.
A continuous improvement mindset.
Experience with EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25.
Technical degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
