Responsible for the development of analytical methods for the quantification of a variety of plant-based active chemical compounds using HPLC and LC-MS/MS;
Perform and optimising various analytical chemical laboratory tests in simple and complex mixtures;
Analyse results, report findings and draw conclusions for product development and optimisation;
Supervise the analytical quality control activities of a chemical analyst;
Interact within the R&D team (microbiologists, immunologist and chemist), with applied researchers and production/quality control to ensure optimised product compositions and applications and to clarify the mode of action and kinetics of individual ingredients;
Act as central person for the analytical chemistry department and contribute to international product development and expansion.
Requirements
Education at M.Sc. or HBO bachelor’s degree level in Analytical Chemistry with a strong foundation in laboratory HPLC and LC-MS/MS techniques and principles;
Scientific mindset;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to troubleshoot experimental issues, identify potential errors or inconsistencies, and propose appropriate solutions;
3-4 years work experience in an analytical lab environment is preferred;
Positive, hands-on mentality and a team player;
Accurate, organized and strong documentation skills;
Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation;
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; strong interpersonal skills, the willingness to learn from colleagues, and contribute to a positive and productive work culture;
