About the role

  • Define product/solution strategy and develop product roadmap
  • Manage execution of multi-year roadmap, new product development, value improvements, product introductions and phase-outs
  • Collaborate with Vertical and Marketing teams for regional and local launch plans
  • Drive Xylem Product Development (XPD) process and develop business cases, product requirements
  • Conduct market research, Voice of Customer, customer visits and competitive monitoring
  • Develop quantified value propositions and package products, solutions and services
  • Track sales, orders and margins; provide data for S&OP forecast and pricing guidelines
  • Manage product lifecycle from launch to end-of-life and support launches
  • Participate in technical meetings, conferences, trade shows and ensure product technical performance
  • Support branding, thought leadership content and collaborate with R&D for next-gen value propositions

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years previous experience in product management in an industrial equipment environment (specific treatment industry experience is preferred) with at least $25M responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience working in an international environment in a matrix organization
  • Excellent computer, communication, presentation, management and analytical skills
  • Ability to resolve difficult technical and business issues
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand technical issues and communicate impact
  • Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Preferred: MBA or higher degree in Business Administration; Green Belt Certification; multi-lingual capabilities
