About the role

  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels in the region, including customers, to provide outstanding safety support
  • Conduct jobsite inspections
  • Lead training and assurance efforts
  • Develop and maintain work policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Identify areas for improvement contributing to Ahern’s continuous improvement journey
  • Travel to different Wisconsin job sites with a company vehicle on a regular basis with occasional overnight travel

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program or related field
  • Five-plus years of work experience in the construction safety field
  • One or more of the following: CSP/ASP/GSP, CHST, STS-C, or OSHA Outreach Instructor
  • Ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail
  • Ability to lead the safety culture within worksite locations
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Ability to assess risk prior to incidents occurring
