About the role

  • Support our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of Agilent Liquid Chromatography/Molecular Spectroscopy systems.
  • Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may affect product performance.
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.
  • May train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree within the science field – e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar, or relevant work experience.
  • 1-2+ years of experience as a field service representative or experience as an end user of the spectroscopy and liquid chromatography instrumentation.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Spectroscopy and/or Liquid Chromatography background with instruments such as a Cary UV-Vis, an Agilent 3500 UV-Vis, an FTIR, and 1260/1290 LC is highly preferred.
  • Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
  • Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
