💰 $120,000 - $160,000 per year
About the role
- Design, build, implement, and monitor predictive models across US Aflac business use cases
- Collaborate and/or lead cross-functional data science projects to ensure value is delivered for business customers
- Lead and execute complex cross-divisional analytical projects including resource, process, and technology needs
- Design, develop, deploy, and monitor solutions integrated with the business; analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to support decision-making and optimize business processes
- Develop and refine understanding of multiple business domains
- Assist in design of solutions for the data science team; mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
- Develop processes to transform extracted source data to target state; write data cleansing functions and merge data from multiple sources
- Lead special projects and develop executive level presentations; identify and implement best-in-class analytical practices
- Stay updated with latest advancements in data science, AI, and analytics
- Lead and assist with development and training of analysts in other internal business areas
- Perform other duties as needed

- Experience and understanding of multiple programming languages including SQL and ETL

- Advanced knowledge of supervised/unsupervised machine learning algorithms
- Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and preprocessing techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (required)
- 5+ years (preferred) of experience in data science, analytics/consulting OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master’s Degree (preferred)
- 3 or more years job-related experience that demonstrates successful data, programming, and analytics work driving business outcomes (preferred)
