💰 £40,000 - £45,000 per year
About the role
- Maintaining and troubleshooting security assets including CCTV, security management systems, and alarms – responding quickly to faults and resolving issues
- Acting as the technical lead and key liaison between IT, OT, contractors, and site teams
- Installing and commissioning CCTV and new security infrastructure at operational sites
- Conducting security audits and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements
- Overseeing third-party security maintenance contracts and auditing performance
- Managing lifecycle planning for security assets, ensuring replacements and upgrades are scheduled
- Delivering training to colleagues and supporting security exercises
- Supporting with access control systems, locks, keys, and compliance requirements
- Providing technical input to new projects requiring physical security measures
Requirements
- NIS Gold registered, 18th Edition Electrical, or willingness to work towards qualifications
- Experience with security systems installation/maintenance (CCTV, access control, alarms, or similar)
- Familiarity with IT/OT environments and systems, or enthusiasm to develop in this area
- Confident working with systems such as Vanderbilt SPC, Milestone, Pelco, Cortech, Sentinor, and Commend (training provided where needed)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
- Excellent communicator, able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to operational sites
