About the role
- Design, develop and deliver strategies to recover retail debt across our customer base.
- Maximise debt collection while balancing affordability and fair outcomes.
- Drive innovation and operational improvements in cash collection and bad debt reduction.
- Lead on the transformation and migration of debt collection systems.
- Knowledge of data sharing with CRAs, and how different data can drive outcomes in the collection process.
- Manage third-party suppliers including print vendors and data suppliers.
- Ensure governance, controls, and write-off policies are effectively applied.
- Leverage technology and data to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Leadership of cash collection and debt management within FCA-regulated or utility sectors.
- Expertise in debt collection systems (ideally Tallyman) and billing systems
- Experience of managing third-party suppliers across multiple categories.
- Strong knowledge of data sharing with CRAs and its impact on collection outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver system migrations and transformation programmes.
