About the role
- Design high-quality UI/UX for games from concept to final implementation
- Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, visual mockups and playable UE5 prototypes
- Translate gameplay mechanics into clear, usable interfaces and specify input schemes
- Collaborate closely with system designers, UI designers, artists and programmers
- Maintain UI/UX style guides, documentation and localization/accessibility readiness
- Conduct usability tests and iterate designs based on feedback and data
- Define interaction behaviors, animations, transitions and drive implementation
- Contribute to testing, iterating UX and champion UX-led mechanics and best practices
- Keep up-to-date with evolving industry standards for UI/UX
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for games or interactive applications
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work, ideally for PC/console titles
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, interface design, and user-centered design practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Experience working with game engines (Unreal Engine 4/5 is a plus)
- Familiarity with accessibility standards in game UI/UX design
- Experience shipping at least one commercial game title (preferred)
- Knowledge of motion design and animation tools (e.g., After Effects) (preferred)
- Basic scripting skills or understanding of blueprints in Unreal Engine (preferred)
- Hands-on experience working in cross-functional game development teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle feedback constructively and work iteratively
