About the role
- Provide legal leadership in negotiating, drafting, and interpreting contracts.
- Advise project leadership on legal, commercial, and strategic issues.
- Identify and analyze contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Actively participate in negotiations with clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support operational teams in day-to-day contract management.
- Establish rigorous contract processes and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Work closely with leadership, finance, procurement, and project management teams.
- Help maintain a collaborative, ethical, and excellence-driven work environment.
Requirements
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec (required).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial law and/or construction law.
- Significant experience managing and negotiating complex contracts.
- Excellent understanding of contractual mechanisms.
- Bilingual (French and English) – spoken and written.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and high-pressure environment.
