About the role
- Lead and manage the operational and financial performance of a designated region, ensuring business plan objectives and targets are achieved.
- Monitor workload, financial results, risks, and opportunities, and proactively escalate issues to the Program Manager as required.
- Resolve project-level legal and contractual matters, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing management team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement staff development and succession plans for key roles within the organization.
- Review and approve expenditures and proposal pricing within delegated authority.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and union partners.
- Ensure all regional operations align with corporate and divisional strategies, policies, procedures, and business plans.
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Superintendents and field crews across the region.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a combination of technical training and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Manager role.
- Demonstrated experience within the utility contracting industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to resolve project issues and disputes with minimal supervision.
- Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments and project teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel between Utilities yards as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively under pressure.
