About the role

  • Lead and manage the operational and financial performance of a designated region, ensuring business plan objectives and targets are achieved.
  • Monitor workload, financial results, risks, and opportunities, and proactively escalate issues to the Program Manager as required.
  • Resolve project-level legal and contractual matters, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing management team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement staff development and succession plans for key roles within the organization.
  • Review and approve expenditures and proposal pricing within delegated authority.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and union partners.
  • Ensure all regional operations align with corporate and divisional strategies, policies, procedures, and business plans.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Superintendents and field crews across the region.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a combination of technical training and relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Manager role.
  • Demonstrated experience within the utility contracting industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to resolve project issues and disputes with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments and project teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between Utilities yards as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and MS Project.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively under pressure.
