About the role

  • Responsible for the development, execution, and continuous optimisation of global medical affairs activities across the ADVANZ PHARMA biosimilar portfolio
  • Provide scientific leadership and strategic insight to support successful launches, lifecycle management, and cross-functional decision-making
  • Review medical insights to provide strategic actions that directly influence launch planning, patient forecasting assumptions, and lifecycle management decisions
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of patient flows, treatment pathways, and decision drivers across key markets
  • Monitor competitor intelligence, including scientific, clinical, and strategic developments, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Review relevant scientific literature, synthesising and disseminating key findings to internal stakeholders
  • Support and contribute to forecasting guidance, including assumptions linked to clinical positioning, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Development of global medical resources for biosimilars, ensuring scientific accuracy, clarity, and regional relevance
  • Develop and maintain medical launch packs to support new product introductions
  • Create and implement listening priorities to capture meaningful medical insights from the field
  • Create medical training decks and supporting materials for internal stakeholders
  • Design and deliver medical training programs aligned to global strategy and product lifecycle stage, engaging with external experts as required
  • Identify educational needs, and develop additional training materials and tools aligned to medical strategy and launch priorities
  • Support capability building across global and regional Medical Affairs teams through structured training initiatives
  • Assist with the creation and execution of external medical education initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategy and compliance requirements
  • Manage medical materials review and approval processes, ensuring compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations
  • Review regulatory dossiers and provide medical input when required
  • Act as a key medical partner to Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance teams
  • Manage project budget within given product(s)/therapy area
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken with due regard to ADVANZ PHARMA compliance requirements and relevant rules/regulations
  • Other tasks, as directed by the supervisor, or based on a specific appointment, or determined during the annual objectives setting process, or by relevant key performance indicators

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) required
  • Significant experience in Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries with proven experience across global, European, and/or Asian markets
  • Strong background in Biosimilars or speciality generics
  • Therapy area experience in rheumatology, gastroenterology or haematology preferred
  • High digital and AI aptitude, with experience leveraging innovative tools to enhance Medical Affairs effectiveness
  • Demonstrated experience in product launches, lifecycle management and working with commercialisation in non-European markets
  • Must be an excellent leader and mentor
  • Scientifically curious and intellectually rigorous, with a strong drive to stay at the forefront of biosimilar and therapeutic area developments
  • Clear and compelling communicator, able to translate complex scientific data into meaningful insights for diverse audiences
  • Highly collaborative, thriving in cross-functional and cross-regional teams and valuing diverse perspectives
