About the role
- Develop and lead implementation and operations of AGCI initiatives and programs in Latin America
- Work independently with AGCI global staff and partners in Latin America to support operations and develop new initiatives
- Manage development and oversight of tools to monitor, evaluate, and budget for initiatives and programs
- Draft proposals and co-author grants to secure sustainable funding
- Partner with AGCI LATAM staff, local leaders, and government representatives to develop and strengthen programs and relationships
- Establish and maintain relationships with staff, partners, communities, institutions, and government offices to expand intervention programs
- Develop operating strategies, plans, metrics, reports, and procedures for programs and initiatives
- Research and analyze needs of children, caregivers, families, and communities to determine program directions and goals
- Collaborate across AGCI teams including Advancement and Marketing to promote programs
- Provide direct service and support as needed to participants in AGCI programs
- Develop and monitor operational budgets for projects and programs
- Provide metrics and analysis for decision-making and produce status reports and briefings to Chief Programs Officer, governing bodies, board of directors, and major donors
- Report weekly to the Chief Programs Officer on progress, tasks, activities, and needs
- Utilize software systems to track program activities, communications, and create reports
- Provide updates, proposals, and impact reports to support fundraising and appeals
- Partner with Global Impact team to prepare grant proposals for foundations
- Speak to internal and external audiences to explain and promote AGCI programs and participate in fundraising and donor-cultivation activities
- Travel internationally or domestically 50% or more and work evenings/weekends as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business or International Relations (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 5 or more years related experience in international business or international program management
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence, reports, and inquiries in both English and Spanish
- Ability to write error-free business correspondence, reports, and presentation materials in Spanish and English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions to a variety of audiences
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; calculate currency conversion, discounts, and interest
- Advanced basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, report writing, project management, presentation creation/editing, database, internet, and e-mail
- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook and Teams)
- Ability to learn Donor Database, Case Management Software, Sponsorship Software, and International team platform
- Ability to work with and protect extremely confidential files and information
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and appropriate travel documentation
- Ability to travel internationally or domestically up to 50% or more as directed
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Successful completion of an extensive criminal background check
- Agreement to and abide by organization’s Statement of Faith
- Strong physical fitness; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
