About the role
- Providing HR Best practices and continuous improvement; mentor providing guidance under corporate strategy and initiatives and regionally driven processes.
- Establishing and maintaining an intimate understanding of the regional business strategy and objectives
- Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Coaching and educating regional managers regarding HR programs such as organizational design, performance management, change management, employee engagement, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development
- Develops business leader capability by providing ongoing coaching on key organizational and management issues, and feedback on personal and team performance
- Attends and actively participates in client groups’ leadership and management team meetings and discussions
- Working closely with HRBP colleagues to establish consistent and standardized program delivery strategies
- Collaborating with the HR Service Center and Communities of Expertise to develop and implement HR programs and solutions
- Sharing situational experience and best practices to support growth and development
- Analyzing trends and metrics produced by the HRIS team to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that improve program effectiveness
- Collaborating to develop strategies to address emerging issues and trends
- Communicating and educating Managers and staff regarding organizational policies and procedures
- Maintaining currency and supporting regional understanding of jurisdictional employment legislation
- Developing integrated approaches and education to support diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Assists regional management to reduce legal risk and enable fair and consistent treatment of employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or any other related field preferred
- A professional Human Resources designation would be considered an asset
- 5 plus years of years of experience working with multiple human resource disciplines
- Knowledge of Human Resources functions, processes, and best practices
- Knowledge of Employment related legislation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office support systems
- Familiarity with functioning of HR Information Systems.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, credibility, and confidentiality
- Collaborative approach with colleagues, employees, external contacts
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent demands
- Analytical ability and sound judgement, including the ability to apply established guidelines and criteria in diverse situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
