About the role
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, requests for proposals, and other legal documents
- Provide legal support and advice to product and business teams
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and protection regulations, including the EU and UK GDPR
- Balance risks in business processes and decision making
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and membership in one US state bar (or Canadian equivalent).
- 2+ years of experience as a tech legal counsel (SaaS)
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and business counterparties
- Experience negotiating tech agreements (NDA, SaaS Agreement, EULA, MSA, SOW, DPA, etc.)
- Experience building trustful relationships with internal clients
- Demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently
