About the role
- Architect and design integrated BMS and controls automation solutions, incorporating IoT, AI-driven analytics, and cloud connectivity
- Develop and deliver comprehensive architecture blueprints that integrate 1st party ecosystem products, ensuring seamless interoperability and scalability
- Provide insights into system architecture, networking, security, and interoperability between different building control systems
- Earn trusted advisor status by collaborating with clients to understand requirements, conduct site assessments, support art of the possible envisioning sessions and recommend tailored solutions that align with their operational and sustainability goals
- Partner with system integrators and relevant technology vendors to support adoption and successful implementation of recommended solution architectures
- Ensure proposed integrated solutions adhere to industry standards such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and cybersecurity best practices
- Work with sales, product management and technical support teams to develop proposals, technical documentation, and proof-of-concept demonstrations
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in smart buildings, energy management, digital twins, and predictive maintenance to drive technological advancements
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, system integration, or engineering within the building automation, IoT, or smart infrastructure sectors
- Proven expertise in BMS platforms (e.g., Distech, Johnson Controls, Niagara, Schneider Electric, etc.) and control systems programming
- Applied understanding of IT infrastructure networking for BMS integration
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and edge computing
- Hands-on experience with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, KNX, Zigbee, EnOcean, LoRaWAN, MQTT
- Familiarity with data analytics, AI-driven automation, and digital twin technologies
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Preferable Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
